George Clooney plays Frank, an embittered inventor, who at 11 years, tried to take his inventions to the World’s Fair of 1964 in Tomorrowland, but justunmotivated by Nix (Hugh Laurie), who asked Frank back when you had that really inventions worked. Over the years, administrator of attraction, Nix becamemore and more corrupt, obsessed with technical issues and uninterested formost creative works.
The action begins when Casey (Britt Robertson), a young man with a vocation for science, looking for Frank to investigate the Tomorrowland today-mysteryinvolving parallel realities. Athena (Raffey Cassidy) is the robot girl fromTomorrowland that Frank knows since childhood and accompanying the pair on the adventure. Thomas Robinson is also in the cast.
The screenplay was written by Bird and Damon Lindelof, based on an argument of Lindelof and Jeff Jensen, and involves the Tomorrowland attraction, the world of the future of the Disneyland created by Walt Disney.
